It was the fact I applied it to wear on a day I was going to be walking around the city in the sun (not at a beach or fishing) and it got all over my purse and my dress. It is a mineral sunscreen so it appears a little white, but that didn't bother me. The other is that it is a bit harder to spread (not too bad) and it gets over everything. One is that you have to reapply, I don't believe it's waterproof and it only lasts for a couple hours. I will keep and continue to use this product. I have only tried it once, but I did NOT experience the allergic reaction I usually get so that is excellent. I had almost given up on sunblock completely but decided I didn't want to be covered up all summer so I tried this as a last ditch effort. I am one of those people that has this weird condition where 95% of sunblocks will cause a rash on my skin wherever they encounter the sun. Most mineral sunscreens leave a cast on me but this doesn't Pro/con: can be moisturizing.sometimes to much for a combo skin girl living in a humid climate □Ĭon: can look shiny, BUT if you have sensitive skin like mine, you learn that something NOT doing all the things I listed that this doesn't do (in a good way) is HARD to come by and shiny or not is a lower concern than it used to be.įor not going anywhere days, this and reapply it a few times throughout the dayįor work, this and Elta MD for a more natural finish/makeup look.evens skin and not shinyĮdit: The cast, for me, there isn't one at all.Fitz 2 here but I think with good application and dry down it would disappear on up to Fitz 4. ![]() Perfect for workouts because of all this. Pros: doesn't skin, burn, itch, or run in eyes, or make eyes water. This and Elta MD UV Physical are the only sunscreens that don't make flare ups worse, and actually calm my skin. While my search for the HG sunscreen continues, I still can't live without this. I still highly, highly recommend this sunscreen, especially if every other one is irritating your skin and breaking you out. My only issues with it are: I wish it was a higher SPF (if they come out with a 50 I'd buy it in a heartbeat) and I'm not sure whether the octinoxate in this stings my eyes or not (I have really sensitive eyes so it's hard to know what's going on with them lol). Basically this one is super elegant, sinks into the skin beautifully, and is strong enough for athletic use. ![]() This one rubs in like a dream, has little to no white cast, has no strong scent, feels lovely, and, most importantly, doesn't irritate my skin! I thought it was a little shiny/greasy at first, but that seems to depend on what kind of products I have underneath it (it works really well with the Vanicream lotion, unsurprisingly), and tbh, a little shine is normal with sunscreens, even fancy expensive ones like Krave and DRMTLGY. Everything else was stinging my face, even sunscreens by trusted brands labeled sensitive, so I decided to give Vanicream a try, even though I'm not looking for a heavy-duty Sport waterproof sunscreen (I wear sunscreen daily for indoor use). Where has this sunscreen been all my life? I ordered it because I was desperate.
